Once you have decided to switch banks, take these easy steps to make the process fast and simple!
- Gather your important information
Make sure you have all of your personal information handy, including your address, phone numbers, physical and mailing addresses, Social Security number, valid Drivers License (or other valid Government ID). If you are opening a business account, we will need the same information from each signer on the account, as well as your Federal Tax ID number. Please feel free to contact a personal banker to see what additional information or documentation may be required to open your account
- Make note of ALL entities that pay you via DIRECT DEPOSIT.
Direct Deposits may come from your employer, Social Security, Annuity Companies, etc. Each of your depositors will need to be notified when you change your banking information. If you use our easy form to list these Depositors, we will be happy to mail them for you!
Click Here to print the forms and bring them with you to the bank.
- Make a list of ALL entities that debit your account via DIRECT DEBIT.
If you have initiated ongoing Direct Debits to your bank account, these will need to be switched as well. Common debits come from internet providers, insurance companies, phone service providers, etc. You may use our form to list the companies that make direct debits to your account, and we will be happy to mail them for you. Click Here to print the forms and bring them with you to the bank.
Important Note: Not all debits made to your bank account are Direct Debit ACH. Some may actually be set-up as recurring debit card charges, in which case you will need to contact those companies and request information on how to switch your payment information.
- Businesses may have special requirements
If you will be switching your business account, please contact one of our personal bankers to verify what additional information or documentation may be needed to open your account. Be sure to let us know if you currently utilize Merchant Processing Services, or have any other special account features that you wish to establish with your new ENB account.
